#1: Replacement Idle Control Valve Author: 20Drift, Posted: Fri Dec 06, 2013 6:18 am ---- Hello all,
My ICV problems have started flagging up again randomly - I cleaned it for the second time last month, however now the issues are back. I'm starting to think a replacement ICV is in order.
I was looking on eBay, and they seem to range between £11 to £75. Does anyone know how much they cost from Peugeot? I'm ideally looking for a genuine part or one with warranty.
Cheers!

are the symptoms the same if the throttle potentiometer goes compared to the ISCV ?

Not exactly, but doski is spot-on with all of the above.
#5: Re: Replacement Idle Control Valve Author: doski, Location: WarwickshirePosted: Sat Dec 07, 2013 12:00 pm ---- the throttle potentiometer tells the engine how many revs are being applied as mine was smashed the engine red nil and therefore made its own default figure which made my choke and idle go up to around 2500 rpm, but when the icv broke it idled around 2000-2200 but surged up and down at idle if you have any problems with yours it s worth checking the potentiometer.
#6: Re: Replacement Idle Control Valve Author: 2stroke, Location: IrelandPosted: Sat Dec 07, 2013 1:25 pm ---- when my car reaches roughly 80 degrees c, it starts !
idle increases to 1200 rpm and stays there.
if you blip the throttle at standstill the engine misfires.
if you turn the engine off and restart from hot she miss fires for roughly 10 seconds then clears her throat and idles at 1200 rpm.
starting from cold she is fine and idles @ 800 rpm....
what do ye think ?
ISCV or potentiometer or something else ?
is there a way of testing the potentiometer without swapping ?
breakers here are a rip off, charge 50 euro for even the smallest of items !
