So I've primed, coloured, and lacquered my arches. Giving enough time in between. I did my 3 coats of lacquer about 4-5 hours ago.

They look and feel completely dry, will I totally ruin them if I go ahead and polish them now?

Some people say to wait a week, do I really have to wait that long?!

It's best to let the paint set fully 24-48 hrs should be enough

24-48 hours for the lacquer to harden? You think that's enough?

Wait till you can no longer smell the fumes evaporating! Dependant on temp humidity etc

Just a quick question aswell, see if it has been longer than 48 hours after lacquering then i decide it needs more lacquer, will it wreak the paint if i apply more?

You'll be alright i think, I lacquered one of mine yesterday and another coat today and it looks so much better, but that's not 48 hours I suppose.
