#1: Rear Demister Author: lmilligan, Location: HertfordshirePosted: Sun Dec 15, 2013 1:05 pm ---- Hi,
Just wondering if anyone can answer this, haven't been able to find this on the site. Where does the click noise come from when you put the rear demister on? Is it a relay of some sort and can it be replaced if so? Got a problem with a 206 where you go to turn on the rear demister and there is no audible click noise and the icon no longer comes up on the cc screen.
Thanks

Unfortunately checked that, should have stated that sorry. Tried a working CC unit from my own car and nothing. Just missing that click noise.

Edit. Fuse 18 in the engine bay feeds the control panel. Not sure if your blowers are working so might be worth checking that to make sure the panel is getting power.

The relay that clicks is a timer relay and operates for 12 mins or so then switches off, to stop drain on the battery.
I also presume your mirrors demisters are not working either, meaning not getting warm, as the switch operates both rear screen and mirrors, may be worth checking the wiring.
