#1: 206/Peugeot Mechanic Map Author: Timon2210, Location: PalestinePosted: Sun Dec 22, 2013 11:57 am ---- Hello All,
Well recently,I have noticed that many members been asking around for someone to do lowering, changing cambelt, fitting clutch, and so on...
So I thought of creating this thread,so that each Mechanic in here (206info member) can put his name and address in here, and the service he can provide, this way,we will make it easier for members to search for a mechanic to do what ever they want to do on the 206 :).
Thank You,

#8: Re: 206/Peugeot Mechanic Map Author: DSWR, Location: SolihullPosted: Mon Dec 23, 2013 5:15 am ---- I have the odd weekend where I can offer assistance within West Midlands/Birmingham area. I can help with styling modifications, lowering, replacing parts (lights, seats, etc) and also renovation such as painting, leather repair and personalised modifications like recoloured roof linings and vinyl (stickers). Can possibly help with mechanic work, but as I only get the odd weekend, It can't be a big job

#13: Re: 206/Peugeot Mechanic Map Author: Barking, Location: sarcasm-in-shedloadsPosted: Fri Dec 27, 2013 3:43 pm ---- I think some kind of recommendation would help, rather than just a name and a city.
My tale of woe: My 206 GTi 138 needed the suspension sorted (it was too low) - the monkey (off here) who volunteered to do it sheered the bolts on the torsion bar and left me stranded when the bar broke whilst driving back home.
It cost £1600 to rectify the suspension at Peugeot.
Just a warning. Trust is important, it must be earned.

It's a straightforward-ish enough job, but when parts are seized (they nearly always are) getting everything apart is a nightmare for someone without the experience.

It was way back in 2005 I think. My first 206 lol. I really can't remember his name. I was never any good at mechanical things, back in my naïve days!

I do also have a cheap diagnostics tool and can read/clear fault codes, check sensor voltages and stuff like that.
