#1: 2002 206cc 1.6 16v not starting Author: GP-F, Location: FairfordPosted: Thu Dec 26, 2013 2:26 am ---- Just tried to start the wife's car to move it & it doesn't seem to want to fire up.
It was started on the drive yesterday & moved across the drive. It has fuel, the fuel pump purges & the battery seems fully charged, I also tried the spare key (which I know is coded etc).
Anything else I need to check before I try to jump start/ call Aa/rac out? Any help would be appreciated.

If so it's something called a bore wash. I did this once. Very difficult to get it started again. Had to jump start it in the end as I flattened the battery. Had to give it gas to get it started.

Other ideas/suggestions?

A good set of late 70s / early 80s twin 40 carbs and maybe but not with modern electronic injection.

#7: Re: 2002 206cc 1.6 16v not starting Author: GP-F, Location: FairfordPosted: Fri Dec 27, 2013 6:10 am ---- Ok, put the jump leads on & initially just started to die. Checked all electrical contacts & sensors )I could see. Tried to jump again & turned over quickly, it started to try to start, spluttered a few times, strong snell if fuel then started (after pumping the accel).
Just run it for 10 miles, stopping on hills & restarting
Arrived home & battery is showing 14.2v when turning over 12.8v on idle.
Hopefully problem solved.
Thanks for the replies & help!!
