#1: Engine Code Author: jamie-38-206, Posted: Sun Dec 29, 2013 3:58 pm ---- Hi,
I was looking at service parts on Euro Car Parts but when i type in my reg it gives me the option for 2 different engine codes. I looked at my V5 and it says my engine code is
KFW
but euro car parts gives 2 engine codes. KFW(TU3JP) and KFW(TU3A)
my car is a 206 1.4 2004
many thanks

KFW is the code for it being a 1.4 8v built to EEC standards in whatever year. Pretty sure the A or JP is a PSA code for fuelling and power levels.
I've had 3 KFWs sat outside all at the same time. The 2003 is a TU3JP and the 2006 is a TU3A and a TU3JP lump in a 2001 Xsara. All look exactly the same and delivered the same power from the factory. From looking at them, there is no difference, but if you went into detail there would be something minute somewhere.
PM me the last 8 of your VIN and I'll check on Peugeot Servicebox for you to see what's fitted.
#3: KFW(tu3jp) and KFW(tu3a) Author: jamie-38-206, Posted: Mon Dec 30, 2013 4:52 am ---- Hi ,
KFW(tu3jp) and KFW(tu3a)
From my VIN I only see the KFW part. what is the part in brackets?
Thanks

Ah well they are close enough
#7: Re: Engine Code Author: V9977, Location: Athens, GreecePosted: Thu Jan 02, 2014 1:46 pm ---- The TUA setup is basicaly motorised throttlebody, different ECU, some other differences in brakes etc. Used on some 207 as well, it was introduced sometime in 2007 I believe. I don't know if the engines themselves are different.

#10: Re: Engine Code Author: V9977, Location: Athens, GreecePosted: Fri Jan 10, 2014 6:51 am ---- Bear in-mind there is an update version at some point in MA boxes which makes them incompatible with previolus engine crankshaft ends or whatever.
