Thanks for the info.I never thought about the abs as mine never had it but as ill be using the gti clocks I wasnt sure if it would put the abs light so wss thinking just trmove the bulb lol as I aint sure if id be able to turn it off any other way

Thanks guys never thought id had to swap the bsi
So I need dash loom too thought I could just use mine, is the ecu your on about the one in the engine bay or is there one in the car aswell?
Also were is the bsi to thanks for the help guys

You'll also need the airbag ecu as well.

hey guys I still haven’t got the info I need lol,can any one confirm my list please or send me a list of what’s needed also if there is any guides or members project threads of fitting a gti lump in a 1.4 or similar can you please post me the links thanks.
also id like to thank all the members that have give me some info as ive notice there’s not many members on this site that’s willing to help or give info...
after speaking with a mate of mine he’s suggested instead of swapping bsi an dash loom it would be easier to just use engine with engine loom an a free running ecu can any shed more light on using free running ecu`s an where to get them unlocked many thanks guy`s

Free running? Does it walk too?

Serious note what the f*** is your mate talking about?

For most people, it will be easier to swap:

Engine
Gearbox
Engine ecu
Bsi
Abs ecu (pump if different too)
Engine fuseboard (bm34)
Complete vehicle and engine loom
Subframe
Hubs
Driveshafts
Rear axle (might aswell for the larger torsion bars/arb)
Exhaust system

there's your answer so go get busy

hi thanks addaz.by free running i meant ulocked/plug an play seems pepole call it a few diffrent terms but means the same lol also my car dont have abs so im guessing i wont need this if im correct an would i be able to do the conversion with out the vehicle loom an just the engine loom if i use an unlocked ecu thanks
