Could anyone tell me what turbo is on each of the HDI models and what are the differences between them.
These models as i believe the 1.9 is non turbo?
1.4 HDI
1.6 HDI
2.0 HDI

What are suitable upgrades/replacements for each and are they interchangeable? Also are any of them intercooled?

Not 100% but a good 90% sure. Razz

1.4HDi - Borg-Warner KP35 - Non Intercooled
1.6HDi - Garrett GT1749v - Intercooled (but no PAS pump in the way - more space to run boost pipes)
2.0HDi - K03 or GT15 (Can be intercooled easiely using parts from other vehicles with the same engine.)

Just to say my 1.9 206 is turbo'd and intercooled...though its not the 206 derived DW8 Razz

I 'believe' from a quick look that the 1.6hdi turbo would possibly fit the 1.4 manifold. BUT i haven't seen the two side by side in the metal.

However, the 1.6 is a VNT turbo, controlled by the ECU. The 1.4 is mechanical. you would need some mapper to map the 1.6 turbo into the 1.4s ECU.

Best bet is to stick to a mechanical wastegate turbo just something a little bigger. GT15 or something similar. Nothing will be really a 'bolt on' application so adaptor plates would probably be needed. Look at getting an Intercooler on first and get the car remapped. should pull over the 100hp mark with a cooler. at 90 is achievable without.

The plan is an intercooler, slightly bigger turbo, exhaust and induction kit and a remap Smile Hoping for somewhere between 100-150hp
