The other day I came out to my car and I went to put the drivers window down and it did not work, now I know it worked when I parked the car up and the only thing I can think is that whilst I opened the drivers door on this morning it was very windy and the wind caught the door and blew it open rather hard, the passengers window works fine I am wondering if when the door was blew open that one of the wires in the loom were snagged and this is causing it not to work, has any one else had a similar problem or is there a way I can try to diagnose the issue as I do not want to pay an electrician if it is aomething really simple.

Any help would be appreciated

Cheers pete c.

You can take the door card off,and apply direct power voltage to the window motor itself, and see if it goes up and down.
