Fuel gauge dashboard issue
-> 206 Problems

2005 gti hdi 110

I put 30 litres of diesel in last night.

This morning it said I had 567 miles remaining.

Got to work, 17 miles later, I had 345. Turned car off.

Turned car on, went to site, 3 miles down the road, i've got 415. Turned ignition off.

Went back to work and i've got 560 again.

Is the speedo/fuel gauge a common problem?

The gauge is crap. Just use the trip counter if you want to see how many miles you are getting out a tank, or use the fuel gauge if you want to see how much you have left.

The fuel gauge is going up and down depending when I turn the ignition on and off so the trip is wrong as well...

I think Lecktorious was meaning fill it up to full, then reset your trip computer.
Next time you fill up (has to be upto full) see what the trip says. Then you know how many miles you've covered and the fuel used.
Miles/gallons used = MPG

Doesn't help solve your issue but its how i worked it out with my lower spec 206.
Ps - 4.545 litres in a gallon.

Regards, Richard.

Have you tried the obvious?
BSI reboot and failing that go to Peugeot to get the software updated
