Lambda sensor 1628TH?

#1: Lambda sensor 1628TH? Author: Nellie, Location: Devon PostPosted: Tue Feb 04, 2014 12:48 pm

Hi
I am looking to buy a replacement Lambda for my 2005 1.4cc verve.

The existing one has the numbers 9636968380 & A341 on it.

I have been advised by a lambda supplier to purchase a 1628TH but this number appear's very hard to find and when found they are a lot more expensive than the other ones.

Is this correct or has it been superseded by a different number?

Thanks

Neil

I got mine from here mainly because he's only down the road from me.

Have you checked on servicebox which one is already fitted. If you PM me last 8 of your VIN I can have a look and give you the part number which should be similar to 1638TH. The other 2 numbers look more like manufacturer reference numbers.

The price varies depending if its a pre or post CAT sensor

Just got my 2005 1.4cc verve back from my local Peugeot specialist after having a new genuine Pre cat Lambda sensor fitted because the cheaper after market one was not doing the job properly and I was having terrible problems when the engine was cold.

Anyway he suggested that I should adjust the valve clearances when I had a spare hour or two.

Question is there an "HOW TO" on the site with instructions and what are the gaps meant to be?

Thanks
Neil
