#1: hi all new here and need info Author: sparkey, Location: cardiffPosted: Fri Feb 14, 2014 5:06 pm ---- Hi the I have just got a 1.4 206 and I found out the clutch was slipping I done what you have to do to see if it is slipping and all is ok only slips when I drive the car but today I went out in it and I just pulled the clutch pedal up and it stoped the slipping how can I fund out if I need a new clutch cable the car is going for an mot 2 most morning any info would help thanks all.

If it stops slipping when you lift the pedal it may be partially seized,,,,, if its a hydraulic clutch then I would opt for lubricating the pedal pivot first.
I am sure someone will come along and tell you which it is... cable or hydraulic
