Anyone else experienced a rust hole in the bulkhead below the pollen filter.

Time to get the grinder and welder out before the MOT in April I think.

I had that, you need to remove the dash and sound proofing to do it properly/not set the car on fire

Seen it on the other side of a 206. That seam does seem to be a problem though.

Mine was both believe or not! It was incredibly bad on the passenger side, about 10 to 15cm strip had to be welded in

Ouch, I just checked mine after seeing this. Drivers appears fine but the passenger side below and behind the strut there is an orange tinge going on where the two panels are moulded together. Only appears to be surface though

Why does this happen and how can it be prevented, if anything?

Water gets in through the vent I suppose.

To who evers have not rusted, I advise using some stone chip, and also remove your rear section of your front wheel arch guards, it rots out on the ledge just below the engine bay

Sorry for the bad picture as it is night time

There's a bit of a surface thing going on I'm not sure of it's surface stuff or some kind of sealant they mght have used. My engine bay is not colour painted like Ryton made 206s

Doesn't look like there would be rust through to the other side of the metal. I'll get some stone chip though
