Rear Beam Mounts?
-> 206 Problems

Just wondering and stupid question but hey ho..

What are my rear beam mounts, where are they, what are the symptoms for them being FUBAR and how can I check them?

Basically, I've checked everything else that could be causing the uneven wear on my tyre, the last possible explanation other than the rear shock absorber is the rear beam mounts (or so I have been told).

Any ideas?

If the bearings are fine, It could be a bent stub pin.

Well its nice to finally go to a garage that knows what they're talking about when it comes to tyres and wheels.
ETB diagnosed 1 bent wheel, 1 slightly bent wheel and 1 defective tyre within 15 mins - yet I've taken it 2 other places and they spotted nothing!
Not only that, they didn't charge me and pointed me towards another garage that could possibly straighten the wheels.
Can't beat em!

Although it sounds like a perfect excuse to get some new alloys!
