#1: Andrew's Grey 206 Sport Author: AndrewR2211, Location: ScotlandPosted: Fri Feb 28, 2014 11:46 am ---- Okay, iv realized that i'm starting to do a lot more to my car now so might as well start a project thread,
So i bought the car from stoke on trent for £2900 with 42000 miles on the clock
The next day after the long drive back to Falkirk in Scotland, the first thing on the cards was the interior which got changed to the Grey half suede GTi interior, also changed the rear lights
Next was the SP additions like the grill and vents, The alloys were swapped over, brakes were painted, The mud flaps fitted, and the fog lights tinted, Aslo swapped the headlights for the Angel eyes.
Next up was the spoiler and Cobra straight through exhaust which came to a lovely £300, Lets just not talk about the manifold price...
Two bucket seats with custom sub frames were next since the standard mounts sat too high. I say custom but we simply just cut the original mounts and welded them back together, gave them a lick of paint and they were sorted.
Then De-Wipered the rear which i think i am the only one who hasn't had to cut the wiper off
Some engine bits
Some suspension work which took way longer than it should have. Also managed to break a drive shaft in the most bizarre way.
Things were quiet up until now when i made the decision to go to FCS 2014, so first things were gloss black door pillars
Then some De and Re Badging of the back, also used DWSR's Technique of filling in the wiper hole
Now we are up to date :D, sorry if that seemed a little vague but had to use pictures i took back then so didnt have a great deal of photos to choose from, so next up is on Sunday i will be dipping my engine parts and fitting some GTi 180 Mirrors which just arrived today

#7: Re: Andrew's Grey 206 Sport [FCS Prep] Author: AndrewR2211, Location: ScotlandPosted: Thu Mar 06, 2014 8:08 am ---- Also picked up a set of these today
#8: Re: Andrew's Grey 206 Sport [FCS Prep] Author: AndrewR2211, Location: ScotlandPosted: Sat Mar 15, 2014 10:35 am ---- Small update, these arrived from china today, surprisingly good quality, made on knurled metal, and they light up just like the standard ones, However they were meant to be easy to fit, simply pop off the originals and push them on. This is a prime example of one of those jobs that is supposed to take 5 mins and your done but noooo, the fan control slipped off its metal ring so the whole lot had to come out, get disassembled which wasn't too hard (Just Fiddly)
Then put it all back together with the new knobs installed, also having to take a small trip to the scrapyard to get a couple of clips that snapped, i think they look awsome (everything needs a clean after my gorilla hands have been on everything)
Going from This
To this
But in a lot longer time than it should've been

Im loving the black on black now with the little bits of chrome, especially with the new heater controls
