Steaming bonnet in the rain.

My bonnet really steams in the rain and I have found out why.....there is a lining missing....the heat shield/noise dampner (whatever its called) that clips under the bonnet. Anyone know where I can get one from and how much it might cost me....Ive looked on ebay but can only find bonnets for a minimum of £78 and more.

Failing getting a proper one....is there an alternative I can get? Crying or Very sad

Find a car in a scrap yard with front end damage. The bonnet will be worthless and you can then take the insulation material from that bonnet without being charged the cost of an arm and a leg.

Not all models came with the soundproofing. It is available from the dealers for about £70 and the clip are 18p each.

Best thing is to ring around a few scrapyards or contact the sellers on ebay that are breaking cars and see if they have one.

Does it bother you that much? There pretty hard to find up here anyway, especially in a breakers yard

No it doesn't bother me.....just gets a few weird looks as steam billows up lol. I'll just keep a look out for one and if it's the tight price I'll get it.
