#1: Just retrofitted cruise control to my 206 Author: Hilal_18, Location: Fredericia, DenmarkPosted: Sat Mar 01, 2014 12:41 pm ---- Hi.
After reading the cruise control thread on the forum, and seeing that many did not have luck with getting it to work, i decided to take the risk and buy a cruise control stalk for my pug 206 1,4 HDi with ESP from 2006, first i did take a look to see if i did have the white brake swith with 4 wires going to it, and i did have it. So i bought the stalk 6239NK without speed limiter. brand new from Ebay for 25. fitted the stalk into the COM2000, then with PP2000 i go into engine ECU i set the cruise control from absent to present. Then into Instrumentcluster ECU and set showing of cruise info from absent to Present, then into BSi-miscancellous "Presence of Cruise control-Limiter, i did have these options:
Cruise control without limiter Type 1 ,without showing in instrumentcluster
Cruise control without limiter Type 2 ,with showing in instrumentcluster
Cruise control with Speed limiter.
i selected the Type 2 cruise control without speed limiter, wich shows cruise info in the dashboard.
i've read from other 206 owners trying to select type 2 with cruise the instrument cluster goes crazy, initially that did also happen to me then i selected type 2, but after i took keys out of ignition and waited for the BSi to shutdown, i put the keys in starting the car, and instrumentcluster did magically work normal again, with showing of cruise info.
Type 2 with cruise info shown in the instrumentcluster.
Finally i did a test drive and hey presto the cruise control works.
