#1: Service box / part no request... Author: VorTechS, Location: Gloucestershire, UKPosted: Fri Mar 07, 2014 7:41 am ---- This week, I've replaced the heater matrix and radiator in the pug, and I've still got a leak around the matrix.
Pretty sure this is because I used generic O-rings which are obviously not as tall as the originals.
So could someone find and let me know what the part no. for the OEM O-rings for the heater matrix please?

#5: Re: Service box / part no request... Author: VorTechS, Location: Gloucestershire, UKPosted: Fri Mar 07, 2014 8:24 am ---- 8v 1.6.
I suspect it's only one part numbers - I'd have thought the pipes/matrix are all the same....

#8: Re: Service box / part no request... Author: macca1411, Location: Westhoughton, LancashirePosted: Fri Mar 07, 2014 8:45 am ---- I know RPO is part of the chassis number. This is what I found on another website

Hi all, what does MAD mean on service box when looking at parts such as the one below?
Yeah, first 5 digits is the day the car was made, the last 2 is the plant it was made in.
Check the sticker near the driver's door, it should have yours on it. Might even be in Servicebox, can't remember.
If you're still struggling, drop me a PM when you have your car and that will narrow it down
Edit. Just found this picture so might help you out
Don't know how they get 6th Feb 03 out of that though
#9: Re: Service box / part no request... Author: VorTechS, Location: Gloucestershire, UKPosted: Wed Mar 12, 2014 4:56 pm ---- All just about done. Got the kit, and realised that someone has done this before - and wondering if that's the reason the first owner ditched it, possibly mistakenly thinking the Headgasket was gone.
Reason I say someone had done it before, only 1 screw was attaching the pipework to the body, and there was only 1 nut/bolt used to hold the pipe and matrix together!
Only problem I had, was when I undid the bleed cap on the pipe there was still some pressure in the system and it shot off, and is now MIA. Replaced it with one from the tyres, but it's not right, so will have to get another from Pug.

Where about's is the bleed cap? Don't want to get a nasty shock in the morning!
#11: Re: Service box / part no request... Author: VorTechS, Location: Gloucestershire, UKPosted: Thu Mar 13, 2014 2:32 am ---- Follow the Radiator pipe (from the right hand side as you are stood in front of the car) until it goes into the bulk head, and you'll see it on the top pipe.
You need to undo it when you bleed the system/refill to make sure you get rid of any air.
But if, like me, you're not paying attention when undoing it, it'll pop off with any remaining pressure if you don't have a firm grip on it!
#12: Re: Service box / part no request... Author: VorTechS, Location: Gloucestershire, UKPosted: Thu Mar 13, 2014 2:35 am ---- @macca any chance you can find out how much number 5 is in that diagram please?
May have to take a visit down the scrappy rather than buy the whole pipe just for the cap!

£24.26
Scrappy all the way. Probably be free if it's one of those where they don't hack the part off for you.
#14: Re: Service box / part no request... Author: VorTechS, Location: Gloucestershire, UKPosted: Thu Mar 13, 2014 2:52 am ---- Thanks macca! Yup, will pop into the scrappy tomorrow and see what they can do for me, no point in wasting £25!

It appears I am joining this club! Can you please check if it's the same part number for the pipe and seal for me too?
