#1: Front suspension Author: Tolkienfan001, Location: SpaldingPosted: Sun Mar 09, 2014 8:31 am ---- So the car has just hit 75k. The front suspension is looking a little tired. And starting to get some creaking and knocking.
I am planning on replacing the;
Top mounts
Shocks
Springs
Lower arms
Drop links
I will then get the tracking done etc.
Any advice on the parts above in terms of makes, where to buy? I am happy to get all oem from pug if the price is not too silly.
Also advice on how long it should take two people? And any specifics to look out for?
Thanks

I know skf will be on par with oem for quality not as sure how the price compares though. Might be a good time to upgrade a few bits if your spending some cash anyways. Maybe a set of eibach springs??

#5: Re: Front suspension Author: doski, Location: WarwickshirePosted: Sun Mar 09, 2014 9:33 am ---- you might wanna buy a pair of track rod ends while your at it there only around £10 each and you have a good chance of scrapping one when you take them off . did an astra last week and had to hacksaw through them as the bolt was just spinning

Eibach and Bilstein for the others - again my opinion through fast road and occasional track use.
#7: Re: Front suspension Author: Tolkienfan001, Location: SpaldingPosted: Sun Mar 09, 2014 11:11 am ---- Thanks for the advice and opinions. Track rod ends were done last summer. I was looking at euro car parts looking like £300-£400 for all parts. I was looking at lemforder eibach and bilstein. probably go down this road then.
