Rust on a pug unlucky? Not really they all rust.

Pudding stirrer for a gearstick? not likely, no play in it on anything ive engineered on it, gearbox side however there is play currently but then again you'd expect that on a 24 year old gearbox which looks pretty darn knackered

Actually mate, i have personally found that they dont rust like yours Wink
Yes they have the occasional scab here and there, but heck what car doesnt

And by pudding stirrer, i dont mean the play, i mean the shear size of it, and how far you have to go forward and backwards to get into gear Wink

This car wasn't badly rusted, but rather do a half assed bodged repair like many we went all out.

From 3rd to 4th there is about 120-130mm, I didn't just stick a long shaft on there.

Rear beam will be off tomorrow again ready for the underseal and for the new mounting bush' to go on.

Subframe will be off tomorrow so we can clean it wednesday.

Windscreen and cage back in for wednesday too, and hopefully from friday onwards its moving back towards get all the mechnical bits back on the car.

This is how it looks as of today.

Rear screen bonded back in, front screen with top tint on (although think I will need a bit bigger than a 2.5 inch tint!) and rear fixed windows in.

Cage went in yesterday, just need to shorten one or two bolts to neaten things up and finish the rear spreaders underneath.

Been a fair bit busy with silly wacing cars, crashing and blowing engines up and stuff. Finally got some bits done, bolted on and it feels like progress.

Did you sort out the brake line to the bias in the end?
They all pretty much fitted now?

Front Right needs some clips before I finish bending it into position.

Bias all fitted, need to make some more brake lines thursday for the rear beam and then everything is done.

Right well as I said took the brakes off Fudge who is looking a bit sorry for himself stored away for so long.

Anyway got over to the workshop to fit them, been supplied base model fitting kits twice now for them, proper kit should be with me monday.

Then I got on with flaring some more brake lines and shaping them up a bit

Today I was going to put the engine, gearbox and driveshafts back in but after clearing the mess of a workshop up slightly decided I would go drinking earlier so came home.
