My car needs new brake lines fitting and my question is, can I make a new route for the lines or do they need to be in the original place for the mot?

Also when undersealing underneath a car the best thing "in my opinion" please tell me if im wrong.. but if there is rust spots I would sand down the rust first, yet most videos are showing just spraying over the rust.

You referring to the pipes over the fuel tank?

Not the hand brake cables the actual caliper brake lines, I dont "think" they go over the fuel tank? I was considering running braided hose through the car and through the inner arch? You dont know what size the braided hose size is by any chance, ive read its 3/16

Braided hoses would be a waste of time.

Why would they be a waste of time. Do you mean because they flex where as the copper hose doesnt. Or price wise

Braided hoses inside the car? Massive effort and solid copper will giver better braking than braided. Braided are better than standard flexible hoses but the length of runs you will need in braided is an absolute waste of time, money and effort.

Remove the rust, treat with rust cure paint of your favourite brand, paint with anti rust paint of your favourite brand and then underseal. That is the real way to do it.

Worked on the pug yesturday and ended up cleaning the old pipe work, was just surface rust so now they're fully protected.
