Hi

I want to reposition the indicator.

Is there any law or regulation which states where the side indicator can be positioned?

Thanks

This could fail it on MOT. A selector switch missing, insecure, faulty, or not able to be operated from the normal driving position.

No more than 2.6 meters from the front of the vehicle (no problem on a 206) and within 40cm from the side.
It must be visible from the rear at a minimum angle of 5 degrees to at least 60 degrees. It should be within 1.5 meters of the ground. If over 75 cm from the ground then it should be visible 15 degrees above and below the horizontal, if lower than 75 cm then visible from 15 degrees above and 5 degrees below the horizontal.
It must be amber in colour, can be of any size and intensity if it is 'e' marked. If not 'e' marked then it must be visible from a reasonable distance.

Simple really. Where were you thinking about putting it?

bit of a hassle, a mate of mine done it and failed his next mot, though as macca has said keep them within those ranges etc and you should be fine.

out of interest are those kahn alloys you have on?

Cheers for the info guys.

I will post up a photo to show the intended area I want to move it to, any input with this would be great.

I am considering modifying a pair of OEM wing mirrors by adding an amber strip of l.e.d's but I'm still not sure if they will look any better than the ones Ive seen for sale online.

Hard to say, if done right it could look good, if done wrong could look very tacky, if your thinking of it grab a set from the scrappy and experiment, most youv got to kose that way iaround 15 quid, and you might make 10 of that back if you dont like them and can sell them on Smile

Not sure how they would affect an mot though if you remove the original ones, my nates not had his mot since the change
