#1: Electric Windows & Indicators not working Author: BenniBoi90, Posted: Sat Mar 29, 2014 3:55 am ---- Surprise surprise my dad has another issue with his 206. He was trying to sort out his radio, the wally that previously owned it was a butcher & cut some leads & now the radio won't stay stored, & now the electric windows & the indicators don't work & when you put the wipers on they go on & on for ages.
We called out the AA & he checked all the fuses & said they're fine but he thinks it may be a relay & that should have a diagnostic test done. Before getting a test done I thought I'd ask on here if some has had this issue before & knows what the problem might be saving me the cost of a diagnostic test. Or would it just be better to pay for the test?

As for the indicator and window situation it sounds like it could be a relay.

I've brought 1 relay from the main dealer & the other will be in on Wednesday. As for the radio he was told that & that's what he was trying to do when the indicator thing happened & the clown that owned the car previously has cut the yellow wire a but too much as he said its a bit short lol

It wouldn't be the first time wiring was put back to standard to find it had been botched for a reason.
It might not have been the perfect repair but it might have been done to avoid damaging something else. Go ahead with you plan but be careful and do lots of checking.

I think he's probably just gonna put another radio in & then swap the wires around if need be
