#1: Kirks 1.4Hdi work horse :) Author: kirk46, Posted: Wed Apr 09, 2014 12:44 pm ---- Hi all new to the forum
Got a bog standard 1.4Hdi
Here is some pictures of what ive done so far
70 horses of pure derv lol
De Badged the rear
Gave her a service
No idea why i've only got this one shot, but after the air and pollen filter it gets oily did the gearbox oil too.
Wanting to get a K&N panel filter when funds allow
Horrid black B pillars
No idea what they used to make them black/blacker but it felt horrible and greasy :/
That's better
That's not a scratch it the refection of my white zip lol
Next was knocking the insides out of the cat
Those clamps where a real PITA to get off...
I had to put a bolt through with 2 nut inbetween and screw them out to open them up.
Noticed turbo now comes in at 1800rpm instead of 2000rpm
The brake servo is leaking air, the gaiter has come off had a go at putting it back on with no joy atm.
Got some Ph2 rear lights on there way and mist jet washers
Few more things i want to do/get:
Alloys
Remap
Colour coded door handles
Front and rear sports bumpers
straight through back box

Get crystal lights for fronts too ... the single H4 bulbs are cr@p ...

I keep meaning to remap mine but always find something extra to do so just doing it all before I get it mapped.
#5: Re: Kirks 1.4Hdi work horse :) Author: Addaz, Location: SuffolkPosted: Thu Apr 10, 2014 12:46 pm ---- Get rid of the standard air box, get a cone on it with a direct cold air feed, make sure its a big cone though!
Also fit a decent front mount then get her mapped, and I expect you will be presently suprised!
#6: Re: Kirks 1.4Hdi work horse :) Author: kirk46, Posted: Thu Apr 10, 2014 2:47 pm ---- dont have the cash for a FMIC yet.... but i would like too
i thought just a k&N panel filter will be fine on a diesel?
also are crystal lights a straight swap?
thanks

Think the power steering pipes that run across get in the way, i looked into taking the 1.6hdi cooler and putting it on mine but it was too much hassle in the end, ended up buying a small used fmic but again, couldnt really be bothered, so im buying a gti instead lol
#9: Re: Kirks 1.4Hdi work horse :) Author: kirk46, Posted: Sat Apr 12, 2014 9:03 am ---- hmmmmm thought it would be an easy fit
just been looking at a friends 207 1.6Hdi and it isnt much different at all...
#10: Re: Kirks 1.4Hdi work horse :) Author: Antknee, Location: ManchesterPosted: Sat Apr 12, 2014 4:37 pm ---- The 206 1.6 hdi is the same engine as the 207 (i think) its also a modified version of the 1.4 you have, just with slightly bigger cylinders and a couple of other bits including the intercooler
