New clutch question

Hi,

I just got a new clutch fitted to my 1.4 petrol 2005.

It is changing into gear fine and clutch pedal is okay but ive noticed particularly in 3rd gear when you press the clutch it take a second or two for the revs to fall.

Also ive noticed a very slight burning smell but not all the time.

Should I be concerned about the new clutch? It seems to be working fine but not sure if it's just bedding in?

Thanks.

Don't ride the clutch & you won't smell it ! New clutch has nothing to do with your revs . Try moving your foot of the throttle faster , if not then your throttle position sensor might be sticking a little , if you can pull off & drive with out any slip then all is good !
