#1: Forum not working Author: Edward, Location: In the garagePosted: Wed Apr 16, 2014 1:37 pm ---- Looking at the GTi 180 Subframe removal topic in 206 Talk. The folder shows 7 replies but there are only two inside? I know there are more than that.
Also the Last 24 hours button logs me out everytime I use it.

I've noticed IE11 is a lot more problematic with this forum then IE9.
This is the only forum I have multiple issues with.
#4: Re: Forum not working Author: Edward, Location: In the garagePosted: Wed Apr 16, 2014 3:04 pm ---- I'm on IE10. Even going into my account chucks me out. It works ok on my Samsung S4 Mini.
#5: Re: Forum not working Author: LeeThr, Location: North West WalesPosted: Thu Apr 17, 2014 7:08 am ---- Ive been having trouble with my Nokia Lumia 1020 on here lately, pages don't seem to update properly, the home page is ok, go into a topic and its a few hours/days behind. Inc the new topics section.
#6: Re: Forum not working Author: VorTechS, Location: Gloucestershire, UKPosted: Thu Apr 17, 2014 9:25 am ---- Windows Phone being I.E. based may also suffer from the same problem.
I believe we updated the forum software a little while back, and there's obviously a fatal flaw somewhere that we'll try and isolate.
In the meantime, it would appear that if you run in 'Compatibility' mode the problem goes away.
If you have a torn page icon in between the magnifying glass icon, and refresh icon on the address bar - click on that to activate compatibility mode.
Otherwise, go to 'Tools' and click on 'Compatibility View' which will then become checked) to activate the icon.
#7: Re: Forum not working Author: VorTechS, Location: Gloucestershire, UKPosted: Thu Apr 17, 2014 9:28 am ---- Actually, that doesn't entirely work on it's own!
But activating, then de-activating it does, every time.
For clarification, every time you want to see the latest posts you need to toggle compatibility mode for new posts.
#8: Re: Forum not working Author: Tolkienfan001, Location: SpaldingPosted: Thu Apr 17, 2014 9:42 am ---- Or right click on the page and click refresh!?!?!?
#9: Re: Forum not working Author: VorTechS, Location: Gloucestershire, UKPosted: Thu Apr 17, 2014 10:03 am ---- Yes, that does actually work and combined with other stuff I understand the technical reasons for it behaving the way it does (for anyone in the know, HTTP response codes are being return as 304 instead of 200).
Getting to the bottom of that, might be an entirely different ball game though! So right-click, refresh on every single page seems the best way forward - except for Windows Phone users (including myself) who will be stuck.

i find, pressing refresh on the windows phone a couple of times does tend to update itself eventually.
#11: Re: Forum not working Author: DREWDEN, Location: huddersfieldPosted: Thu Apr 17, 2014 11:36 am ---- Thought it was my IE9 or google browser playing up.
#12: Re: Forum not working Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Mon Apr 21, 2014 7:36 am ---- Windows 7 with IE 11 just doesn't work on here for me.
Same Windows 7 computer rolled back to IE 10 works perfectly.
I've noticed a lot of forums I've had no problem with in the past using IE 11 have suddenly become problematic these last couple of weeks.
