#1: Indicator light not staying on Author: bruceykins, Posted: Thu Apr 17, 2014 1:00 pm ---- Okay so I've had this problem for a bout 4 months. When I push the stalk up (to go Right) or down (To go left) the stalk stays there and the indicator light on the dashboard flashes but sometimes the light on the dashboard and the clicking noise stops. So for instance the stalk stays up but the indicator is not making any noise and the light on the dashboard to say I'm indicating is not flashing. Which in turn makes the indicator on the outside stop working.
I took it to my mates garage and was quoted £300!!!!! to get it fixed.
Has anyone had this problem and what do you recommend I do.

2 completely different electrical systems have been used on the 206 & the known faults that affect the indicators are different depending on the electrical system fitted to your car.

£300 for a new com is expensive as they are only £150 (ECP Valeo part) and take about 20 minutes to fit even for a DIYer. They could have got the price from Peugeot though.
£300 for a new single stalk is highly over priced.

No but my lights always come on and stay on when I'm driving. I've also been through two batteries within the last year.

Has your car got auto headlamps fitted?
Light & rain sensor behind rear view mirror.
Either:
Someone's turned Daytime running lamps ON in the BSI setup configuration ( unlikely )
