#1: Oil leak possibly caused by head gasket Author: steveo1259, Location: ManchesterPosted: Mon Apr 21, 2014 2:18 pm ---- Hi Guys,
I have a 206 1.4l 1999 petrol that has done 62000 miles.
It has developed an oil leak from under the bonnet and on closer inspection the leaks appears to be coming from the engine block.
After looking around it appears to be a common fault with the TU engine and requires a head gasket replacement.
How much on average is it for a head gasket replacement with a possible cambelt change at the same time. I want to look around for quotes to get it done but I really dont know where to base my expectations.
Will it cause any damage to leave it how it is? Apart from losing oil obviously?
