#1: What GTi model is this for.... Author: benny180, Posted: Wed Apr 23, 2014 9:50 am ---- Been looking for a new exhaust system for my 180 past couple weeks and came across this on eBay...looking at it to me looks like a 180 backbox but straight through backbox...but after reading description was brought for the 138 model :/ can anyone help she's some light on this for me please as if correct one or can be made fit will go ahead and purchase it

at £55 it cheap. Should be around 180 quid! good little bargain!

The backbox may have originally been for a 180 but as it stands it wont fit.

Only costs a few quid to have them welded in blackburn. Any decent welding garage/company will bend some brackets up to match the exhaust, then line everything up underneath and weld in the brackets. Not a big job either so long as all the pipe flanges match up to the ones already on the car. Anything can be done its just about knowing exactly how you are going to do it. Speak to a welder near to you and get a quote.

I paid 50 for the flange on the cat to be replaced from an exhaust place good work but imagine the cost of adding materials bent to shape then another flange that's well over 100 quid on top of the cost of the system

This is true...to an extent. that exhaust as a whole, will need a LOT of work to fit a 180, just not worth it tbh.
