Just had a new clutch kit and clutch cable fitted and it's like driving a brand new car Very Happy couldn't be happier.

But I was looking for advice for wearing in my clutch, and I read that I shouldn't be taking the car above 4000 rpm. I tend to redline it a couple of times whenever im driving it and was wondering if the advice to stay at low rpms should be followed? I appreiciate any input you guys may have, David.

tbh i have never "ran a clutch in" and never had a problem, you think the docker who loads your nice new car up at the docks takes it easy. or any of the people who move the cars about before they are sold look after them.

I wouldn't redline your engine too much anyway but like stated I've never heard of bedding a clutch in. And it's true the new vehicles we pdi have to be driven hard on road test to find any faults before there sold

There is no need to bed a clutch in. They do that with use. The only clutches that take time to fully grip are paddle ones
