#1: Power Steering... AAARGGGHHHH!!! Author: TonyW, Posted: Tue Apr 29, 2014 6:42 am ---- So I'm loading the car (and roofbox) on the drive in the pouring rain for a family weekend away when what do I see...? A red oily fluid p***ing down the drive and along the path, and I think to myself, BUGGER!
Steering fluid well down so run out and get some more,put car on level ground and top up... still pouring out!
Hence a drive to Weston with Popeye arms and more topping up, and pouring out
Investigations are clearly needed, any pointers...?

If nothing obvious, get you head under the car and look for a leak around the steering rack.

Problem is he reckons the pump is now noisy, but I told him I didn't have the £200 odd quid for that this month so that'll hopefully be bearable, for a while at least!
Either that or it's a DIY fix, anyone know if it's a simple job for a complete spanner monkey?

I'd already found a handy pump replacement guide here so was going to give it a go if I hadn't had that little bit of good fortune, about time I got a bit too!
