Evening all, just acquired a 206 dturbo 2002 with just 72k on the clock.
Anyway I have also just bought a towbar from eBay (a witter one),
It has single 7pin electrics attached to it, am I correct in assuming I can just wire in the electrics into the existing taillights/indicators at the back of the car?
The towbar came with some blue scotchlock connectors, are these suitable? Or would soldering be better?
From what I gather the car is a multiplexed system according to the radio stalk

You would be better off soldering as the wires in the loom are very fine. The simplest way is to buy the Peugeot towbar wiring kit. This plugs straight into the loom in the boot.

I did one by soldering a couple of years back and never had a problem with it.

I think if you're car is multiplexed then you need to fit a Bypass relay in series with the lights/indicators etc.On older non multiplexed motors it was a case of connecting directly to the appropriate wire. The relays are fairly cheap and the job is no more difficult, you also need a buzzer for the indicators.Alternatively as the previous poster has said peugeot probably do a plug and play kit,but may be expensive.Search the internet there's some good websites on the subject, try towsures fitting a bypass relay guide it's a good one.

Kind Regards
