I take it there are no air leaks on the manifold, the lambda sensor isn't damaged & is plugged in?

And since its seeing naff all it will throw up the code P0420 catalytic convetor efficiency (ie your cats f****d is what is trying to say)
You need a lambda sensor extender (found on ebay, i recommend the 90 degree ones) so it is removed from the main stream of exhaust gases and tells the ECU the cat is working fine
