Just a few questions
1. Will the gti interior fit in a 1.1 without any fettleing
2. What can I add to the engine bay to give it a little zing ... I can't think of the word lol
3. What modifications and how hard it it to switch to led headlights and rear lights
4. Would you suggest lowering any lower than 40mm or is that the limit

Just beware that seats from a 5-door used in a 3-door would block the access to the rear seat as they don't fold and that, obviously, the 3-door door cards differ from the ones on a 5-door.
2 - paint or dip plastic parts, coloured hoses, strut bar etc
3- rear lights, one nut each, plug and play. Fronts depend a bit on what exact you've got in the shape of pre-plex or multiplex electrical system. Search the how-to section, it has been covered extensively.
4 - Depends on how much usability you're willing to give up. See recent thread with the probably lowest 206s cracking his sump...
