#1: Snapped Dip Stick Author: bistoo09, Location: GranthamPosted: Sun May 18, 2014 3:26 pm ---- As I was checking my screen wash, coolant, and oil I managed to snap the dip stick in half on the plastic bit that measures the amount of oil you have. So I took it out and cleaned it. Put it back in and on taking out to see how much was on it I heard a snap and when taking it out I noticed the measurement section was significantly smaller. Its due its MOT and service so will they be able to replace it or not? Also can it fail it is it doesnt have a full Dip Stick?

Sump off and pull out (easier but more work)

I got one a couple of years back. From what I remember it was less than £10
I think most of the ones on ebay are around the same price.
There are loads of 206 lumps running around with the plastic tip in the sump. It should be caught in the filtration system before it can do any damage.
