206 SW Rear Axle & Suspension
-> 206 Problems

Hello

I have a 2003 2.0Hdi SW with rear brake drums and ABS. At the moment the noises from the rear are horrendous basically because everything is shot. The bushes in both torsion bars have worn excessively and I suspect the bearing in the radius arm on the offside rear has gone because the wheel is toeing in at the top and catches on the inner arch when going over bumps.

I have been offered a good second hand rear axle but it does not have ABS fitted. I understand that the backing plates and drums are different but my question is this. Is the axle set up the same for both non ABS and ABS and would it be a simple case of swapping my existing backing plates and drums onto the axle or can this not be done?

Thanks in advance Very Happy

I imagine you'd be able to transfer everything across.
