Airbag fault
-> 206 Problems

Hi all,

Got a problem with the sisters' 2005 CC... Airbag fault flashes up on the dash most of the time. It did spend a day out the other day when driving it but came on. Most of the time it is one when the car is started.

I've reset the BSI, and checked the wiring under the seats as well as having a fiddle with the passenger airbag switch. Unfortunately I don't have access to a code reader but pretty much everything else.

Any thoughts other than what I've trued already?

Cheers,
Ross.

Ideally you need to plug it into Peugeot planet to find out which airbag is playing up. From there you can then think about fixing it.
Could me curtain airbags, seat airbags, or dash airbags,

206 CC's don't have curtain airbags Laughing

Thanks for your help guys. Got it plugged in and came back with Drivers Level 2 igniter circuit open. I've redone the connection under the seat and the problem is still there. Likely to be a COM2000 problem? I'm not having any other issues with car, everything works as it should.

Cheers

Could be something as simple as one of the plugs come loose on the drivers airbag, its possible if someone has had it of in the past when replacing a faulty com2000 unit.

The drivers airbag plugs on the multiplexed 206's like this can be a right swine to undo / refit correctly if you haven't got the technique right.

OK so had a look at those, nothing was loose under there but I took them off, the look clean and nothing looks like its been snagged under there. All back together and this time once I connected everything up the light wasn't on!.. However a short drive up the road and it came on again. I'm wondering if it is the rotational connection on the steering wheel, although I've not had any issues with the horn (I don't use it though). I'll have another look around the connection and steering cowl.

Ross.
