#1: Starter Motor Replacement Author: alborough1974, Location: Isle of WightPosted: Sun Jun 08, 2014 2:15 am ---- Ok i had my starter motor fail on friday. Have done various checks to confirm that is the fault power is definetly reaching the starter when ignition key turned to start and 12v is also on the main feed from the battery however looking at the starter access is not going to be easy due to fuel injection system etc in the way from above and a cross member below so i'm now wondering if its possible to replace the starter without removing have of the injector sytem etc or if it can be done without.
Access is certainly not looking good but i don't want to remove anymore than i need to the car is a 2002 206SW 1.4

Access is pretty good on the TU3 due to the stone age mid 1980's design of the engine, there are plenty of worse more modern cars out there to try & work on.
