#1: knocking/creaking from rear Author: tiglon, Posted: Fri Jun 20, 2014 9:00 am ---- Have had this problem for the last couple of weeks with my 52 plate 206 2.0 hdi:
Very loud knocking and creaking coming from the rear of the car, either driver side or centre. Mostly happens between 50 and 60 mph.
It doesn't seem to affect the way the car rides or drives. I thought it was the spare wheel as it was very loose, but have tightened that up so it can no longer move, and noise hasn't changed.
