2.0 Hdi metal pipe water leak...

#1: 2.0 Hdi metal pipe water leak... Author: HueyLions, Location: Midlandshire Near Coventry PostPosted: Tue Jul 01, 2014 2:47 am

New to the Info exchange and needing a little help.

I have a 2001 2.0 Hdi D turbo for a couple of weeks now.
I'm guessing the previous owner has at some point put rad weld/similar into the car as lots of evidence of brown water on engine and bulkhead.
Yesterday the car began to dribble water almost as quick as I could fill it.
Upon inspection and removal of battery tray, air intake pipes and thermostat assembly I found a metal pipe at the rear of the engine has corroded.
This joins the thermostat assembly by means of a pushfit with a rubber o ring seal. I need to order one from my dealers....Any ideas what it's called/ what I should be asking for?
Thanks in advance
Huey

NOW SOLVED! Thanks Drewden for pointing me in the right direction.
