#1: Steering rack leak Author: Frenchie, Posted: Fri Aug 01, 2014 2:14 pm ---- Thanks for the add to the group...first post on here. Not long had our 206 and just found a bad leak, turns out its the steering rack, a common problem according to our little garage, quoted around the £350 mark for them to replace.....does this sound about right and in the meantime has anyone used any stop leak with good or bad results, cheers

£300 is a good figure for a rack replacement

#5: Re: Steering rack leak Author: jamie-38-206, Posted: Thu Aug 07, 2014 3:33 am ---- I have same leak problem. seems to be coming out near drivers side. I asked my mechanic about the stop leak stuff and he said it was 'worth a try' . Think it may have slowed it down a bit but will need to get the root of the problem sorted as my other half it going off her nut about the state of her driveway
