Bust engine fan - and loose wire?
-> 206 Problems

#1: Bust engine fan - and loose wire? Author: Shububa PostPosted: Sun Aug 10, 2014 1:18 pm
    ----
Hi all,
So the engine fan has stopped working on my 2004 16v peugeot 206 leading to it overheating in heavy traffic a couple of weeks ago. Not fun!

I've tested all of the fuses and they all seem to be good - I've looked online and it seems my next step would be to have a look behind the front grill at the relays? That or just let a garage have a look at it. I have an intermittent ABS fault as well so could just get them to look at it all together.

Does anyone have any advice - any other easy problems I could look at first? Or maybe a rough quote of how much the work might cost?

Whilst testing the fuses under the driver side dash I also found this loose wire. Could be nothing - but anyone know what it is and why it isn't
plugged in?

Cheers!
Jo

If I remember correctly, that connection isnt used. Just check by looking on the bsi, thing behind it for a conenction hole.

The fan not working will probably be the front fan relays though
