#1: gti180 rear axle Author: Maqer, Posted: Mon Aug 25, 2014 3:19 am ---- My old axle was banging, squeaking and the wheels were all over the place. Ordered a refurbished one from Antalex in Poland and got it installed.
The problem is, the right tire has still noticeably more camber than the left. The new axle also has some creaking noises when loaded and the left tire is a bit loose.
What I'm afraid of is that the new axle is also crooked, the support arm bent causing the camber problem and creaking noises caused by friction, or lack of lubrication, between bearing and hub.
Does anyone have experience about axles, especially gti180 ones, from antalex? How about their warranty? I've yet to have an answer from them even though they were fast enough to sell me one.

Antalex replied that it is not possible that the axle is faulty and that I should look for other sources for the problems. Sure, they do make a lot of them but that isn't a guarantee in itself. More like a confirmation if the workers get too comfortable and just routinely put these together without care.
One thing I should mention is that the extra support arms, the 2 rearmost parts that connect in the middle and go out to the lower part of each support, are original. Seeing as they connect to the lower parts of the arm they might pull the tire straighter if they are tightened up? However, I don't see how they would be so streched out.

I hope it applies to every axle. As mine was the "RC" (gti180) axle that they don't have on ebay I hope it didn't get overlooked as its a part that goes more rarely. Though it just has thicker torsion bars.
