hi all

Car : Pug 206 CC HDI 110

I have checked all the joints/bushes moved it all about but I cannot find where the clunking noise is coming from.

Used to happen every-time turned right (mainly full lock) then it went away for a month or two and now its come back again. Had the car up on the ramps in a garage and they cant find anything.....

Any help / suggestions?

With it happening on full lock id be inclined to say an outer cv joint. To check best way is find an empty car park and just go round in circles on full lock will sound like a clicking noise if its a cv joint. Got a friendly local garage you can get there opinion, will probably be best to let them go down the road with you in the passenger seat and point out the noise.

Checked your ARB bushes? cheap & easy to replace.

My knocking turned out to be the lower arm. The guy who replaced it showed me the original part and how loose the bush was, however because of it's location I would never have spotted it. Even he had to take the suspension apart twice to find it and I've known him for over 20 years.
