#1: Cleanfreak's Vw Tsi mk5 Author: Danw_VVT, Location: Herts/LondonPosted: Thu Sep 04, 2014 3:35 am ---- So after buying the miss a 1.4 megane in January we had nothing but issues with it. Coil pack, maf, key card, window motors etc etc.
So when my missus rang me saying something else had gone wrong my mind was made up to get rid of the f*****g thing.
A week later I found our new car!
It's:
VW Golf 5 door 1.4 TSI GT Sport.
The one 1.4 engine is supercharged and turbo charged to produce 170bhp.
The body work is a bit poor, I need to detail the f*** out of it and it needs a bit of a respray on one side due to some extremely bad painting. Also has a small dent on one door that I'll get sorted.
Plans for it are:
New wheel
Panel filter
Diamond vision bulbs with Cree number plate lights and sidelights
iPod connection
Golf gti spoiler
Forge blow off valve
Possible remap.
The car has a very nice sound of the exhaust as standard so won't change that.
Some may remeber on info we had one before (red) but this one is black now.
Pics when I got her
So since owning I have added a k&n filter and done the headlight and number plate lights with also some pressed plates.
This month (aug) will be a full respray with some custom one of bits being done to the front grille and the roof.
Also ditched the idea of a forge blowoff as I'm not going to be changing the engine enough to warrant it.
Any way some Picts!!
New show plates
Last week I took a week off work and have the car stage 1 of its respray.
This was bonnet complete passenger side rear bumper and valance boot and front valance.
Most of it is still black but the bonnet has 1 coat of spectral flare, which is a flake that pops on the light to show greens gold reds etc.
Stage 2 will be the drivers side, roof and front bumper.
Any way Picts!!
Standard paint with flake
Spectral flare
Enjoy

To be honest I'm not in it enough to spend the £200+ on a new headunit.
Is rather spend the money on the Audi s3 Intercooler lol.
I'm hoping by the end of the project ( if it ever ends) it will be running 260+ bhp,
Not bad from a 1.4
