#1: pp2000 install issues Author: commandosqueak, Location: Lower Slaughter PostPosted: Thu Sep 04, 2014 6:25 am
    ----
Well as some of you may know I got myself PP2000 kit. The unit itself claims to be made in France so not a clone. I am running windows XP SP3 with all updates done on my tough-book. I also created the "version.text" file in the C:/ .
I am having issues installing the software on my computer. Lexia software will install fine but I don't have a Citroen so no need for that! Pug plant comes up with installation failed and asks me to reboot and make sure i am plugged in etc.. Finally I got Diagbox installed but every time I try connecting to the car it fails, and even though I chose English it installs it in French.

Have been trying for ages to get this working to no avail. anyone care to stop me hitting it with a lump hammer? I am in Gloucestershire if any one is near me!

If you can buy it, normally it will be a clone kit for sure.

Did you follow the installation guideline?

Unless you bought it directly from Peugeot / Citroen main dealer OR Actia, it will be a clone.

It's not the disk, I recall having this issue with my disk but I've forgotten what I did to fix it.

It could be that even though you are installing on Windows XP, you may be running on XP Service Pack 3.

Try running the installer in Windows XP Service Pack 2 compatibility mode.... ?

Your Lexia / Evolution interface needs to be flashed to revision C if your using Diagbox version 7.00 or newer Wink

Sorry for jumping in the thread, but does anybody know whether or not on when it says ECU unlocked on pp2000 if that means that the immobiliser is off and not immobilised?
