#1: Intermitant Acceleration by itself after changing down gears Author: esplace, Posted: Fri Sep 12, 2014 5:28 pm ---- Hi,
Hoping someone can give me a solution as seems no one at any Peugeot service centre's have any idea.
2004 206 petrol
After changing down gears "ie coming towards an intersection" foot of the clutch and accelerator, it sometimes takes off by itself, and quite dramatically, almost hitting a tree on two occasions.
It happens cold or hot, and seems to be more common now than a month ago.
I also note that the rev counter or speedo are not showing a great deal of movement when this is happening
Have changed the Fuel sender
Had all the fuel parts cleaned
Clutch bled
Accelerator sensor checked an ok,
Other issues that may have some relevance include "these are Intermitant also"
The brakes sometimes get more sensitive while at the same time the clutch gets sloppy, or the other way round but there seems the main issue isn't reliant on what happens here.
The gears clunk when the clutch is sloppy
Thanks for any help i may get,

Could be a dodgy pedal sensor, dodgy TB, bad connection in the wires, software bug or possibly 1 of 100 other things, Without diagnostics it would be pure guesswork and you could spend a lot of money replacing items that are working perfectly well.
