It's easy, split the light using a heat source to reactivate the glue around the edges, once pryed apart there is an inner chrome part that comes away from the light itself, that is the part you spray.

What are the legalities of spraying this chrome?

Perfectly legal. You could buy genuine Valeo masked headlights, and I think FK have some in their range now.
It's only the chrome surround you spray and not the reflector.

I'm tempted to buy for the same reason as the housing does look great and to save me some DIY hassle? Only downside is I'd have to convert back to H4.
Is it not possible to get them converted to LHD Timon? Or is it more money than its worth?

Think you'll find those are LHD headlights, on the left you'll see it say's Headlights RHD and that takes you to another page where there are only angel eye headlights

FK are pretty decent with their customer service Timon. When I got my rears from them it was the German website, had a slight issue with the delivery, got a phone call from Germany and was offered a 100% refund plus keep the lights. Can't fault the Germans for looking after customers.
I'm sure if you contact Germany direct they will be able to advise if they do them for the LHD market.

That's what I was thinking too as in the pictures you can see it says DEPO near where the indicators are. As far as I know, DEPO only make LHD front lights. Such a shame too as i'm after a pair.

I've emailed them to get a definate answer but like you I'm sure they only make LHD, I'll post back once I've heard from them and let you all know.
