Hi all,

Before I attempt to do this on my own I thought I would ask here and see if there is a suitable way to remove the plastic wheel arch lining from the front wing of a 206 GTi 180.

I can see there are 1 or 2 mushroom head/rivet type plastic clips.

Are there any special techniques to easily remove this?

Refer to attached pic below.

Other than the mushroom clip these are also connected to the front bumper, you will see a screw roughly directly below the fog light.

These are surprisingly flexible so what I tend to do is rotate it towards the back of the car slightly and then pull the horizontal tab that sits inside the bumper out below the bumper the it'll simply drop out from the wheel arch and then you can slide it out, really not a difficult job at all.

Also providing your car is not lowered there is no real reason for you to even jack the car up to get it out, but I guess that depends on why you need to remove it.

I use a screwdriver and circlip pliers to remove the plugs. You need to remove the wheel to access the plugs behind the wheel.

well yours look like the 2 piece version, mine is the one piece. but there are 3 plastic clips, 2 either side of the strut and one if you look directly up. and 3 screws 2 on the bumper and one behind the wheel arch under the car.
