This is happening to my engine temp guage when I turn the car on any ideas what it could be? Or anyone had this before? It does a sort of 'test' like on Renault then goes off the scale.

#4: Re: Engine temp guage gone wild Author: Timon2210, Location: PalestinePosted: Wed Oct 01, 2014 2:28 pm ---- Usually this kind of fault is caused by needle itself,so you need a new cluster..but it don't hurt to unplug the temp. sensor,and switch the ignition on,if the needle reach the max. level and stays there without doing what we saw in the video,then you have a faulty temp. sensor,but if it keeps on doing this problem,then you will be sure that your dials is fault.
