Hay all.

This is happening to my engine temp guage when I turn the car on any ideas what it could be? Or anyone had this before? It does a sort of 'test' like on Renault then goes off the scale.
Thanks in advance everyone.

Usually this kind of fault is caused by needle itself,so you need a new cluster..but it don't hurt to unplug the temp. sensor, and switch the ignition on,if the needle reach the max. level and stays there without doing what we saw in the video, then you have a faulty temp. sensor, but if it keeps on doing this problem, then you will be sure that your dials is fault.

Think its the dials then pal. as I unplugged the sensor and it's still doing the sweeping action.

In the video i notice your STOP light is on, it should extinguish within a few seconds when the ignition is on.

Sorted it I took the battery out the weekend to give it a charge before the harsh weather kicks in and when I connected it back up its been working ever since so just Needed 'resetting' I assume.
